The Afternoon Show: a space to meet partner universities
Virtuality has allowed us to connect with our partner universities creatively. Under this dynamic, "The Afternoon Show" is born, a program that will be broadcast on Instagram TV and will have three chapters in its first version.
As part of the international positioning strategy, one of the main objectives of The Adjunct Office of the Vice President for International Affairs (VRAI in its Spanish acronym) is to promote international mobility programs and contribute to global well-being by incorporating students from around the globe into a global learning community.
Within this objective, the Instagram account @intercambiouc has been renewed to provide a space where our entire university community can have relevant and updated information on the mobility processes.
Therefore "The Afternoon Show" was born as an initiative led by the International Mobility Coordination and the Strategic Development Department of VRAI.
In this first version, on Tuesdays in May, we will have three meetings with different universities of high interest:
- Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia: May 11th, 5 pm Santiago / 4 pm Bogotá.
- University of Bath, United Kingdom: May 18th, 1 pm Santiago / 6 pm UK.
- University of Toronto, Canadá: May 20th*, 5 pm Santiago / 5 pm Toronto. (*Date to be confirmed)
"The Afternoon Show wants to create a space in which partner universities and UC students can discuss freely. The main topic will be the contribution that universities make to the Sustainable Development Goals in a friendly and relaxed conversation. On @intercambiouc, students will also find information about exchange programs between UC and partner institutions. They will also have the opportunity to find answers to their international mobility questions", explained Cristian Díaz Castro, International Mobility Coordinator at VRAI.
